Show Me Ya Moves

A day late but…here’s a new song!

Presenting Show Me Ya Moves, a remix of Big Blue (F-Zero) slightly inspired by Night of Big Blue (F-Zero GX). Sounds crazy, but lower your expectations, please.

I tried to make a mix of that cool tune for years, but it would always turn out meh at best. This time I decided to finally make a remix of that tune or die trying. Still not that happy with the outcome, but this seems to be the best I can do with that tune. It does have some cool parts, so I hope you can enjoy it anyway.

Also, Dropbox is changing the public folder into a private folder, so a lot of download links on my old vids won’t work anymore. If you want to download a song that’s not on this website, please tell me and I’ll adjust the link in that video.

Here’s the video:

There’s a little backstory to this and the upcoming mixes. In short, they might end up in a Smash WiiU mod. Well, hopefully? I just hope the other songs will be easier to work on, I probably expected too much from this one…

Clad In Shadow – Shadow Dong

It’s finally time for the fourth song of Clad in Shadow! And what song it is!

In this project, tunes get a ‘Shadow‘ version by mixing them with a Persona Battle Theme. They will usually have a darker feeling to them as well. Exceptions prove the rule though.

He has no style, he has no face…prepare yourself for Shadow Dong, featuring the infamous DK Rap from Donkey Kong 64, the Bad Boss Boogie from Donkey Kong Country, the Boss Theme from Persona 2:¬†Eternal Punishment and – last, but not least – the Battle Theme from Persona 2: Innocent Sin! Are you ready to expand to the maximum??

As for the video, I’m trying to think of something else for the Clad in Shadow vids (in terms of moving bars and stuff), until then you’ll just get to stare deep into these ominous red eyes:

Well that was necessary. I wonder what’s next?

Greenhorn Funk

Kicking things up with yet another track in our remake weeks, here’s Greenhorn Funk [Garlic Edit]!

This is a remake of the song Greenhorn Funk from 2010, featuring Greenhorn Forest (Wario World). Giving that greedy dirt bag the love that he deserves~

That song is so old now, and yet it’s still pretty cool. But I wanted to see what it would sound like in 2017. So here we go:

And here’s the video:

I know I kinda promised a fancy Ganon tune, but it’s really not that interesting…at least not yet! At least I gave you a new tune, right? So we’re back in the regular schedule~

Lots of remakes lately, huh? I actually have a lot of remakes planned for this year, but I’m not sure how many of them I’ll actually make. It’s not really an easy process to make these. After all I have to fix the mixing/mastering and make it sound different enough so it has its right to exist.

As for the next thing, I have some nice ideas, but I cannot say what I’m gonna do next. You’ll have to wait and see~

The Snippet Mutants

The return of the Mutie Snippets: here’s The Snippet Mutants [Nuclear Edit]!

This is a remake of the song The Snippet Mutants from 2012, featuring Clanker’s Cavern (Banjo-Kazooie) and Nuclear Fusion (Touhou 11: Subterranean Animism).

I was never really able to get the mixing right for that one and since I was playing around with a new mastering plug-in anyway, I wanted to give it another try. This remake is much closer to what I originally wanted it to sound like. Let’s hear it:

Here’s the video:

Sorry for the delay this time, but playing with new Mastering techniques kinda takes time…also Dark Souls. Love that game~

Maybe I’ll make up for that and upload a fancy Ganon song? It’s almost April Fools material, but I still like it.

Delay of stuff

You were probably expecting a new song today (and rightly so) but I have to admit I’m not quite done yet. The song I teased last week didn’t really go very well, so I started to work on something else yesterday. That song is much closer to completion, but I still want to give it some time to grow. Let me share what I have so far:

It’s a remake of The Snippet Mutants from 2012. I was never really able to get the mixing right on that one, now I’m giving it another try. And it already sounds more like I wanted it to sound. I hope I can finish it by next Sunday, so I can fix all those things that are still bothering me.

Frequently asked questions

There are some questions that arise rather frequently. There are questions I don’t want to answer every time they’re asked.

The solution: An FAQ. I usually answer questions I get via message or contact form, but lots of comments on YouTube stay unanswered. If you are among those people who asked a question and never got a reply, maybe you’ll find your answer here.

That’s all I wanted to cover today, the next song should be ready next Sunday. Expect a remake of this song.

Xeno Nemesis

Welcome to 2017, a year full of…stuff!

And we start off the year with nothing less than a Metroid remix starring Ridley and Serris (Metroid Fusion). You might remember part of the song as VS Xeno Ridley from the animated series Super Mario: Vanishing Existence by FictionalCanvas (previously VanishingSVST), but the full song also features Weavel from Metroid Prime Hunters.

Xeno Nemesis (225 downloads)

Don’t forget to watch the video as well:

And that marks the start of a year full of stuff. For the upcoming songs I’m trying out a different mastering and I don’t feel entirely comfortable with it yet. I’ll figure something out eventually.

As for 2017: expect some remakes, I feel like polishing up a few old gems this year.
