Ultimate Elemental Being

It is done, the ultimate Disciple of the Elements megamix, Ultimate Elemental Being, is here!

Take U.N. Owen was her, Fighting of the Spirit and a tune from each of the elemental Disciple songs and you get this. An almost 8 minutes long megamix. As you can imagine it was quite a lot of work….I hope it was worth it!

And because it’s so special, you can only get it on bandcamp. Remember that there’s only a limited amount of free downloads (about 200 per month), so don’t be surprised if it says 1€ all of a sudden…you’d need to wait about a month until it will be free again:

And here’s the video:

And with that out of the way, we’re ready for Disciple Month 3! Time, Sound, Magic as well as Life&Death awaits…

OST Focus – March On

And another OST Focus for you, this time outside the usual schedule.

This time we look at the regular battle theme of Bravery Saga, March On. It’s much faster and more my thing compared to the intro, which obviously didn’t appeal to you that much.

The song is based on the 2 regular battle themes of Keroro RPG, but also includes a bit of the series’ own Main Theme. I think you’ll like that one!

And here’s the related video, featuring some info for 2 of the series’ essential characters:

Don’t forget, next up is Ultimate Elemental Being. Get hyped!

OST Focus – The Brave Ones

Well, since lots of hardware and OS upgrades (Windows 10) kept me from working on Ultimate Elemental Being I’ll have to delay that a bit and I can finally share some of the tunes I made for another animated series. I’ll still give you a lil’ preview of Ultimate Elemental Being though, just keep reading, okay~

The Brave Ones is the Main/Opening Theme of an animated series called Bravery Saga. You can find the details and videos of the episodes released so far on the OST page, so I don’t want to dive into it to much.

The tune is basically a short arrangement of Kaze No Ne, the glorious Opening Theme of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. However, since slow stuff isn’t really my forte, you shouldn’t expect too much, but I hope it fits regardless. I do like the synth part though, which is also referenced in the Battle Themes, which I’ll share another time. They are going to be pretty awesome (if I may say so myself)~

And here’s the related video, featuring the official opening of the series:

As usual, no download for OSTs for the sake of exclusivity. Instead as promised, here’s what I have for Ultimate Elemental Being so far:

Ultimate Elemental Being – preview

I can’t say when I’ll post the Battle Themes, the only thing that’s for certain is that Ultimate Elemental Being is due next Sunday. I might wait until the respective episode has been released. Until then, you can already listen to the Battle Themes on the OST page.

Music and suggestions page update

Some of you might have noticed it already, but I haven’t found the time/motivation to write a post about it yet. The Music page and the Suggestions page got a huge update last weekend. So let’s dive right into it:

Music page

This is something I wanted to do for a while now. Previously, it was quite a mess. A main page with links to sub-pages related to franchises. A pain to maintain. So I used up last weekend (the WHOLE WEEKEND) to make a legit Music page with ALL (!) songs made so far sorted by release year (excluding OST, which still have their own page, but including album projects). There you can listen to and download the tracks directly. Icons and short descriptions show you what franchises and themes you can expect in the song. I hope you give the page a visit and find some cool songs you didn’t know about yet.

Let me give you a little warning though: Since there is so much stuff on that page, it might take a while to load. I tried to make navigating easier by adding a table of contents at the top of the page, I hope this will help a bit. (I actually added that to other big pages like the OST page and the Album Projects page as well).

Happy browsing!

Suggestions page

Some of you posted comments on that page before, but that didn’t really help me very much, as I didn’t even get notified if someone comments. Also, I primarily wanted to see what most of you would be interested in. So now we try a different approach. By now you should already know how polls work, so the new Suggestions page basically features a never-ending poll where you can vote for other people’s suggestions or throw your own idea into the ring, which other people can then vote for.

You can suggest a single theme or a combination, but you can only vote once, so think carefully. After a suggestions reaches a significantly high amount of votes, there’s a high chance it will be turned into a song. After that happened, the suggestion will be removed from the list and all who voted for it regain their right to vote…granted I will be able to do that of course without resetting the whole thing.

Happy voting!

Video

As usual we have a video to go along with this post, because I noticed that without a video, all my efforts will remain unnoticed. Since you already know more than the video says, I suggest heading to those pages and find out for yourself now.

I started working on Ultimate Elemental Being, the final Elemental Disciple mix including all 8 elements. This will likely be the next upload, although I might throw one or two OST Focus videos in-between. I’ll try to finish the song until next Sunday, but since this is such a big mix, I’m not sure if I can make it. I’ll try my best though.

Splat Zone

Felt I should do something for the upcoming Splatfest. So there you go, Splat Zone~

It’s a mix of the song they used for the Splatfest trailer (which also plays in the second phase of the game’s Final Boss in insignificantly altered form) and Fighting of the Spirit from the Tales of series, I know you love that one. There was not much time to make it, but I really tried hard to make it interesting.

As usual you’ll find the video and download below. Want to show your appreciation? Donate!

Splat Zone (4487 downloads)

And here’s the video:

I guess I’ll be playing Splatoon the rest of the day….and tomorrow of course! Go, Team Pop! As for the North American fans, I’ll be rooting for Team Dogs! Happy splatting~

VG Arch Rivals Vol. 2

As promised, VG Arch Rivals Vol. 2 has been released today:

It exclusively features Shooting Star Punch as a hidden Bonus Track, which you can’t (shouldn’t be able to) get any other way. All of the songs have been re-rendered in max quality, because you only deserve the best. Some tracks have been slightly altered, in the case of Bowser vs Mario the changes have been somewhat major though. I believe it’s better this way and hope it encourages you even more to download the album!

As for the download itself, the download should be free (unless you WANT to pay for it), BUT there’s only a limited amount of free downloads that bandcamp grants me (about 200 per month), so don’t be surprised if it says 1€ all of a sudden…you’d need to wait about a month until it will be free again. I’m sure this will happen in the next few days, you best hurry!

For reference, here’s the release video:

Next up I was thinking doing some Bravely Default as a belated birthday present for a friend. You’d like to hear that too, right? OST Focus returns with a few uploads, not affecting the regular uploading schedule of course. Soon after the Bravely Default song you’ll finally get Ultimate Elemental Being, which includes all the Disciple Elements. This will get your bodies ready for the next Disciple Month.

Arch Rival Month 2

The time has come! Starting next week, we’ll be having another special month (well…not quite “month”, but we’ll call it that anyway): VG Arch Rivals Vol. 2!

This time, we have another bunch of Arch Rival mixes, featuring four legendary good guy vs bad guy constellations and one fan suggestion. There were many discussions going on last time which are true “rivals” and which are just “enemies”. For that matter, and since we mostly have protagonist vs final boss constellations, allow me to add some detailed thoughts and arguments when I upload those mixes, so don’t forgot to follow the stuff I post here as well!
