End of a New Beginning

Finally! The winner of our Touhou voting is here, a remix of Kanako’s final boss theme Suwa Foughten Field from Touhou 10: Mountain of Faith. Saying it took me a while would be a lie, there have just been other priorities after the voting was finished, like…Halloween and such! Traditions~

Unlike the song name might suggest, I’m not breaking any new ground with this mix. In fact, the song name itself is rather mysterious. You’re free to interpret it!

As this is supposed to be a serious final boss end-of-the-world techno mix, I limited myself a bit: No silly sound effects, no random stuff, just a straightforward (techno) approach this time. And I also managed to not include any other themes. Been a while since I did that!

Next up I was thinking something Legend of Zelda. Idk what exactly yet, but likely something from the N64 era. As for the next OST focus, we’ll have the main theme of Luigi’s Terrific Quest (LTQ).

OST Focus – With Evil Intentions

And yet another change of plans on today’s OST focus: Since the latest episode of that series was just released, we have a look at the first of the original tunes made for Fragmented Memories, yet another animated series created by VanishingSVST, although it’s in Walfas-style for a change. We look at the theme of Geniece Moriana, sadistic psychopath and the series’ main antagonist, With Evil Intentions.

The song appeared in the 4th episode of Fragmented Memories. The video features the battle scene from the episode along with some artwork for Geniece:

The tune is supposed to sound evil and powerful, but it’s also quite catchy I think. It’s actually one of the few original songs I made by now. If you like it, there’s a bit more like that on the OST page!

Next time on OST focus, we should finally switch to Luigi’s Terrific Quest, I’m actually working on a more interesting Main Theme at the moment. As for the next upload, I decided to work on the winner of the Touhou voting, Suwa Foughten Field. After that we’ll likely have some Legend of Zelda, I have quite a few ideas for that.

Halloween Mayhem 2014

Happy Halloween everybody!

To get you in the mood, I have something special this year. As an addition to this year’s Halloween mix I created a Halloween Megamix, combining all previous Halloween mixes into one! I called the result Halloween Mayhem 2014, since there might be more of these in the upcoming years! I don’t know why, but Halloween just seems to inspire me XD
