After spending weeks of figuring out what to do for the end of the year until it’s too late to make anything, I already had some plans for what to do for 2026. I plan to remake some of my older mixes, from a time where I was still making music in a creative way, not caring too much about mixing and mastering – which is something I’m struggling with to this day (and it’s not getting better).

The one I was originally going for isn’t quite working out so far though, so we’re starting with something else: A Formidable Foe Emerges – an original tune loosely inspired by the Mini Boss Theme from Super Paper Mario, originally made for an animated series by TamagoSoup as a kind of boss/mini boss theme a bunch of years ago.

The song now has one loop in it, and a different bridge that connects the loops, alongside some instrumental adjustments compared to the original. Here it is:

I’d love to remake some songs from my Touhou Remix Projects, but so far I’ve been struggling a lot to update them while keeping their original essence – it feels like they lose their charm in the progress. I’ll just have to keep trying I guess…

Some called him dead, but some were still holding onto hope. And just like K. Rool, I’m back with a new song to celebrate the king of the kremlings – The Kremling Krew Returns.

In truth, I didn’t really feel like working on music much these past few months. I did a little bit here and there, but nothing worth showing off. However, as the spooky time approaches, I felt an itching in my fingers – surely we’re gonna need something for Halloween, right? But better to see if I still got it first.

I just hope you didn’t expect me to improve by leaps and bounds in the meantime – although I did a little bit of research on what I can improve, in the end there is just one realization: no one makes music quite like me (for better or for worse), so I’ll just do what I do. Which is starting with a general idea and then go with the flow until something comes out that sounds good to me. And in this case, it sounds like this:
