So I was working on an ice-themed mix and was wondering if I should upload it as an X-Mas Mix, seeing as I didn’t really have anything else – but I couldn’t finish it in time, so that question essentially answered itself.

Either way, Hunting the Ice Giant fits the season (at least for those on the northern hemisphere) and should make a nice “end of the year” tune:

The song is a remix of Gammoth’s Theme from Monster Hunter Generations, with a little bit of Proof of a Hero – the series’ Main Theme – as the ending. I always felt there was a part in the theme that would perfectly lead over to Proof of a Hero, which was enough to make me try my hand at this song. And the fact that I played a lot of Monster Hunter this year, especially Generations Ultimate. Maybe that was the main reason…?

Moving on to the video – I started making videos directly in FL Studio, because it is much more convenient for me. The last Halloween Mix video was made the same way, and although it looks rather simple, I think it works well enough. But judge for yourself:

I guess that’s it for this year, let’s hope for a good 2025! At the very least I’m looking forward to Monster Hunter Wilds 😉
