If you’ve been following my stuff for a good while now, you must have seen this entry coming from at least 10 miles away. Here’s the third entry of Sounds Alike:

Blast Kongs – Bad Boss Plateau

Some years ago, I made a song called Blast Kong. It was the same combination of songs, but it sounds completely different from what you’re about to hear. The combination I’m talking about is Bad Boss Boogie from Donkey Kong Land and Jade Plateau (Skerries) from Blast Corps.

Now here’s the thing: this is kind of an exception for this series. Not only do they sound very similar, they were also composed by the same guy, so they’re…essentially the same song? Well – one being a boss theme and the other being a racing track with a mini game kind of feel – I’d say they are at least quite different versions of the same tune.

Another thing to note is that I couldn’t resist to add some robotic sounding DK Rap parts as well. It kind of fits if you think “Kongs” are the machines the corporation uses to destroy stuff. Or the ones piloting the machines. Whatever works! BUT don’t worry, there’s of course an instrumental version as well! So here we go:

In the meantime I got another set of suggestions, I’d say we’re definitely set for a Sounds Alike Vol. 2. VG Arch Rivals isn’t done yet either and other ideas also already crossed my mind…then again, making more than one album per year is kinda tiring. Well, I’d say there’s still enough ideas in my mind for years to come!
