Frequently asked questions

There are some questions that arise rather frequently. There are questions I don’t want to answer every time they’re asked.

The solution: An FAQ. I usually answer questions I get via message or contact form, but lots of comments on YouTube stay unanswered. If you are among those people who asked a question and never got a reply, maybe you’ll find your answer here.

That’s all I wanted to cover today, the next song should be ready next Sunday. Expect a remake of this song.

Xeno Nemesis

Welcome to 2017, a year full of…stuff!

And we start off the year with nothing less than a Metroid remix starring Ridley and Serris (Metroid Fusion). You might remember part of the song as VS Xeno Ridley from the animated series Super Mario: Vanishing Existence by FictionalCanvas (previously VanishingSVST), but the full song also features Weavel from Metroid Prime Hunters.

Don’t forget to watch the video as well:

And that marks the start of a year full of stuff. For the upcoming songs I’m trying out a different mastering and I don’t feel entirely comfortable with it yet. I’ll figure something out eventually.

As for 2017: expect some remakes, I feel like polishing up a few old gems this year.

Best of 2016

Once again the year is ending, so it’s the right time to look back. We usually do this with a Best of album.

It features most songs of 2016 which aren’t already on another album (like the Arch Rival songs). Monster King had to be left out because the project file got kinda screwed up, so sorry about that. All other songs have been re-rendered for maximum quality and are available on bandcamp in different formats.

Some songs have been slightly altered for the album version, let me quickly list them here:

  • Frozen Warrior: Sylux part replaced by Noxus theme. Now the mix only features the ice-related hunters.
  • Eggcellent: All but one voice-effect (‘Time for a change of pace!’, because it really fits) removed, added some hits to the Sonic 3 Boss part to make up for that.
  • Kremling Boss: Added more power to the second transition to Gangplank Galleon to make it sound as powerful as the first.
  • Time to Battle: Added some oomph to You Will Know Our Names at the end by adding backing strings.
  • Eltale Battle: Significantly reduced ear rape and unnecessary hits to make the song more enjoyable.
  • Cave of Raves: Changed lead sounds for the Yoshi’s Island Cave parts so it would mix a little bit better.
  • Night of the Skeleton: Added an extra Grunty laugh, extended the ending with an extra powerful, pitch-upped repeat of Spooky Scary Skeletons. Added some 8-bit drums during build-up organ parts for Spooky Scary Skeletons. Added more intensity to the Betus Blues part.

Now enough chitchat, here’s where you can get the album, it will be available for free for a limited amount of time (just type 0,00 when asked for the price):

And of course, here’s the video:

And that concludes 2016 for me. I wish you all a Happy New Year and I’ll see you again in 2 weeks!
