Ready for the finale? Here is the last entry of Disciple Month 3, Supernatural Ruler!
I promised an epic RPG theme, but I’m sure you didn’t expect anything from THAT game. Although we already had quite a few surprises during Disciple Month 3…
But anyway, have some Will Be Venus (Hyperdimension Neptunia V II) and Splash (Hyperdimension Neptunia: Re;Birth 1). The rest of the song is basically a Disciple Month 3 medley, including parts of the other 4 songs.
If you’re looking for a download link, I’ll have to disappoint you. The album release is scheduled for next week though, so be patient!
Finally, here’s the related video, don’t forget you can donate if you feel like it:
And that’s that. I’ll go right ahead finishing everything up for the album release, which includes fixing/improving some of the songs, rendering in best quality, etc. You know, the usual. If everything goes as planned, it should be done by the end of next week.
The fourth entry of Disciple Month 3 is nothing less than Life and Death!
As expected, we have a lot of epic tunes in this one. One could argue that there are barely any tunes related to Life, but…if there is no life, there is no Death either. I first thought about splitting them up, but they’re tied so closely together, it would be very hard to choose tunes for one and not the other. This way I also had a lot of cool songs to choose from:
Aside from the series-typical Fighting of the Spirit (Tales of Phantasia), you get The Battle for Everyone’s Souls (Persona 3), Poison Mind (Castlevania), Megalovania (Undertale), Necrodeus’ Theme (Kirby Mass Attack), Border of Life (Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom) and The Guardian/Intro Theme (Darksiders II).
Since I failed last time with the focus on mixing and mastering, I got my mind off of that and could focus on the song itself again. Finally I can say: we have another worthy Disciple Month representative.
The third entry of Disciple Month 3 is Magic! ECH!
It took me a while longer than usual because…I didn’t start in-time, but also because I didn’t want to rush things. I have to admit the outcome is nothing to be proud of though. It’s more on the calm side, although it features some more epic tunes as well.
So, aside from the series-typical Fighting of the Spirit (Tales of Phantasia), this time we have Oriental Dark Flight (Touhou 9: Phantasmagoria of Flower View), Gruntilda’s Lair (Banjo Kazooie), Troupe Gramarye (Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney), Twinrova (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time), Magician Type 0 (The House of the Dead), The Ultimate Show (Super Paper Mario) and a strongly adapted Battle With Magus (Chrono Trigger).
This time I tried a lot of stuff, especially with mixing and mastering, stuff I wanted to try a while ago, like a different approach, but…it didn’t really work out at all. So I’m quite a bit disappointed. Guess I’ll just continue doing it like I always did…
And here’s the related video, don’t forget you can donate if you feel like it:
We’re almost at the finish line. Next is the last regular entry: Life and Death. This HAS to be great, no? Or at least epic? I just hope it works out to be something I can be proud of, before we start the final song.
The second entry of Disciple Month 3 is Sound! There goes my favorite…
To get straight to the point, aside from the series-typical Fighting of the Spirit (Tales of Phantasia), we have Super Sonic Racing (Sonic R), Miror B. (Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness), Final Boss Phase 2 (Splatoon), Dee Jay’s Theme (Super Street Fighter II), Phantom Ensemble (Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom), Electrodrome (Mario Kart 8) and Music Madness (Donkey Kong Country Returns). I’d say that is quite the collection of tunes worthy of the name “Disciple of Sound”…well, except that Super Sonic Racing thing maybe, but it’s cool enough~
Yes, it’s that time again. Time (pun intended) for take 3 of Disciple Month!
Since we’re out of elements, we’re reaching for other things now, hoping to be able to continue this pretty successful series. So this time, we have Time, Sound, Magic and (to top it off) Life & Death.
We’re starting with Time. It’s quite the mess actually, with so many epic tunes in the mix, but I think it works. Should I list them? Sure, why not: Time Castle (Persona 3 FES), Luna Dial (Touhou 6), Fighting of the Spirit (Tales of Phantasia), Song of Time (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time), The Extreme (Final Fantasy VIII), Dark Impetus (Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep), Time Eater (Sonic Generations), Epoch (Chrono Trigger), Bloody Tears (Super Castlevania IV as it actually plays in the Clock Tower there, representing the Clock Tower present in pretty much every Castlevania game).
Crazy, right? There would have been even more to work with, but I hope I picked out the best. No Dialga because the better song (Primal Dialga) was already used in Light and I didn’t want to bother with Spear Pillar. Also no Time Man because that theme is way to chilly. T.T.’s theme would have probably cracked everything too…oh well! Let’s go listen:
Thanks to everyone who purchased any of the bandcamp albums/tracks. With your help I reached a new milestone which grants me 1,000 free downloads…for you! So let me direct you to the bandcamp stuff page. What are you waiting for? Go and download some stuff! …unless you have everything already! XD
It is done, the ultimate Disciple of the Elements megamix, Ultimate Elemental Being, is here!
Take U.N. Owen was her, Fighting of the Spirit and a tune from each of the elemental Disciple songs and you get this. An almost 8 minutes long megamix. As you can imagine it was quite a lot of work….I hope it was worth it!
And because it’s so special, you can only get it on bandcamp. Remember that there’s only a limited amount of free downloads (about 200 per month), so don’t be surprised if it says 1€ all of a sudden…you’d need to wait about a month until it will be free again:
And here’s the video:
And with that out of the way, we’re ready for Disciple Month 3! Time, Sound, Magic as well as Life&Death awaits…
