Night of the Skeleton

It’s the spookiest time of the year again, so brace yourself for this year’s Halloween Mix: Night of the Skeleton!

Aside from the ominous intro and some sound effects, the song is actually pretty upbeat. But that’s to be expected from funky songs such as Bonetrousle (Undertale), Spooky Scary Skeletons (by Andrew Gold) and Gruntilda’s Lair (Banjo Kazooie; you remember how Gruntilda was a skeleton in the sequel? that counts!). Add some Betus Blues (Super Meat Boy) and there you go. I always wanted to remix Betus Blues in some way, I like that song a lot.

Night of the Skeleton (3207 downloads )

I’m making it a tradition that I’m super lazy for the Halloween video and basically only put the thumbnail. I guess I should at least tell you when which song plays:

0:00 ominous intro with Flowey laugh
0:06 Bonetrousle
1:18 Spooky Scary Skeletons
2:31 Betus Blues
3:30 Gruntilda’s Lair
4:02 Bonetrousle
4:50 Spooky Scary Skeletons

I’ll see you again in 2 weeks. Until then: Happy Spaghetti! (Happy Halloween!)

VGAR3 Bonus 2 – Faces of Evil

As it is tradition with VG Arch Rivals albums, there is a bonus track that can only be found on the album itself (and not downloaded in any other way).

The second and “full” bonus track of VG Arch Rivals Vol. 3 is Faces of Evil. Since some of you asked for Link vs Ganon I thought I should include that as well. …what do you mean, that’s not what you meant?

Faces of Evil features the songs Glutko Face (Link: The Faces of Evil), Sakado – Gibdo’s Cathedral (Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon), Goronu Face (Link: The Faces of Evil) and Reesong Palace – Goria’s Welcome (Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon), the biggest focus being on Glutko Face. While the games are infamous for their cut scenes and particularly terrible game play, I actually find the music pretty catchy. It certainly doesn’t have any kind if Zelda feel to it, that’s for sure.

Planned release for VG Arch Rivals Vol. 3 is (still) next Sunday, October, 23rd. Better mark that date in your calendar~

So here we go (as noted above, no download, sorry~):

And that’s it. Imma prepare the songs for the album now and I will hopefully be done by next Sunday so that the album can be released in time. See ya then!

VGAR3 Bonus 1 – Porky’s Solo

As it is tradition with VG Arch Rivals albums, there is a bonus track that can only be found on the album itself (and not downloaded in any other way).

As the title suggests, the third installment will have multiple bonus tracks…although not quite. There will be instrumental versions for those people who strictly don’t want anyone to talk during their musics because they think it’s annoying and/or distracting. This really only affects about 3 sound effects in two songs, so not that much of a deal.

A much bigger deal is Porky’s Solo. It’s an altered version of Ness vs Porky that only features Porky’s tunes. So it starts off the same way, but where you expect Eight Melodies to play, it skips right to Piggy Guys and extends that part a bit before it returns to Natural Killer Cyborg. Thus it retains the darker Porky feel throughout the whole song.

I also added some drums so the whole thing sounds more GROOOOOOVY (get it~). The additional ‘groove’ affects Ness vs Porky as well, which you’ll find on the album when it’s finished. Planned release for VG Arch Rivals Vol. 3 is October, 23rd. Better mark that date in your calendar~

So let’s hear it (as noted above, no download, sorry~):

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand here’s the video, it also features the album art for the upcoming release:

So, are the other bonus tracks gonna be the instrumental versions? No~

Next up is the true bonus song of VG Arch Rivals Vol. 3. It’s something that some of you have been asking for…but it’s probably not what you meant~
