The fourth entry of Disciple Month 3 is nothing less than Life and Death!

As expected, we have a lot of epic tunes in this one. One could argue that there are barely any tunes related to Life, but…if there is no life, there is no Death either. I first thought about splitting them up, but they’re tied so closely together, it would be very hard to choose tunes for one and not the other. This way I also had a lot of cool songs to choose from:

Aside from the series-typical Fighting of the Spirit (Tales of Phantasia), you get The Battle for Everyone’s Souls (Persona 3), Poison Mind (Castlevania), Megalovania (Undertale), Necrodeus’ Theme (Kirby Mass Attack), Border of Life (Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom) and The Guardian/Intro Theme (Darksiders II).

Since I failed last time with the focus on mixing and mastering, I got my mind off of that and could focus on the song itself again. Finally I can say: we have another worthy Disciple Month representative.

The finale is up ahead. Once again, the song will feature an epic RPG tune alongside parts from the other entries of Disciple Month 3. The name has been decided as well: Supernatural Ruler.

The third entry of Disciple Month 3 is Magic! ECH!

It took me a while longer than usual because…I didn’t start in-time, but also because I didn’t want to rush things. I have to admit the outcome is nothing to be proud of though. It’s more on the calm side, although it features some more epic tunes as well.

So, aside from the series-typical Fighting of the Spirit (Tales of Phantasia), this time we have Oriental Dark Flight (Touhou 9: Phantasmagoria of Flower View), Gruntilda’s Lair (Banjo Kazooie), Troupe Gramarye (Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney), Twinrova (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time), Magician Type 0 (The House of the Dead), The Ultimate Show (Super Paper Mario) and a strongly adapted Battle With Magus (Chrono Trigger).

This time I tried a lot of stuff, especially with mixing and mastering, stuff I wanted to try a while ago, like a different approach, but…it didn’t really work out at all. So I’m quite a bit disappointed. Guess I’ll just continue doing it like I always did…

We’re almost at the finish line. Next is the last regular entry: Life and Death. This HAS to be great, no? Or at least epic? I just hope it works out to be something I can be proud of, before we start the final song.

The second entry of Disciple Month 3 is Sound! There goes my favorite…

To get straight to the point, aside from the series-typical Fighting of the Spirit (Tales of Phantasia), we have Super Sonic Racing (Sonic R), Miror B. (Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness), Final Boss Phase 2 (Splatoon), Dee Jay’s Theme (Super Street Fighter II), Phantom Ensemble (Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom), Electrodrome (Mario Kart 8) and Music Madness (Donkey Kong Country Returns). I’d say that is quite the collection of tunes worthy of the name “Disciple of Sound”…well, except that Super Sonic Racing thing maybe, but it’s cool enough~
