It’s time for another new song, today we listen to the Howl of the Snow Wolf!

When making this mix, I thought about combining different themes that would fit a Japanese-themed snow wolf character, which is where the name of the song comes from. Usually I name the song after the tunes that appear in it, but this time I went the other direction. The only actual snow wolf theme in the song, Blizzard Wolfang Stage (Mega Man X6), was actually added “last minute” (not quite that drastically, but I hope you get the idea) to give the song name some sense.

The more prominent themes are Surrender Robot Dharumanyo and Transformed Oedo Castle from Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. I don’t know if the boss theme has an actual name, I couldn’t find any reliable info on that, so I just used the name of the boss. There seems to be some consensus on that idea on the interwebz at least.

Do you know how difficult it was to find a high resolution picture of one the Goemon characters for the video? I was lucky enough to find a great-looking fan art of Yae:

There’s so many songs I started to work on…it’s gonna be difficult to decide which one to finish next.

I can’t get anything done during this freaking heat wave – I’m mostly busy trying to keep my room as cool as possible, ugh. But I don’t want to leave you hanging for so long – so I found this cool tune I made back in 2014, but never officially published, which I do now using the new name Dangerous Heroics.

The reason it was never officially published was that it was made for VanishingSVST‘s (now TamagoSoup) animated Pokémon series. The series has been pretty much abandoned in favor of other projects, so this cool tune was just lying around (among others) waiting for some recognition.

So far so good, but: turns out the project file disappeared! ;__;

I don’t want to say I lost it, but it’s not in the folder where it should be – where all the other project files for that series are. And I couldn’t find it anywhere else either…it’s a shame, really. For that reason I couldn’t remove the Pokéball sound effect and the Reshiram cry at the start, so we’ll just take this as part of the song (which it was originally anyway):

For the same reason I couldn’t make a beat-animated video either…on the bright side, at least the upload didn’t take half a day this time 😉

I really hope this heat wave ends soon, this heat is killing me… x__x

I’m back with a new song, this time we go for a little alchemy – can you handle my Strongest Potions?

The focus of this mix is on Plague Knight’s Stage theme Explodatorium (from Shovel Knight), but it also features a bunch of other songs, namely:

• Hoodoo Sorcerer – Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc
• Magician Type 0 – The House of the Dead
• Galaxy Man – Mega Man 9
• Gothic Neclord – Suikoden 2

The mix is just a Fighting of the Spirit short of being called Disciple of Alchemy or something, guess I got a little carried away to end up with such a weird composition in the end. Oh well, definitely not the first time that happened.
