I welcome you to the birth of a new project: Clad in Shadow!
In this project, tunes will get a ‘Shadow‘ version by mixing them with the Persona 2 Battle Theme. They will usually have a darker feeling to them as well. Exceptions prove the rule though.
Now here’s something that’s a tad different from our usual projects: This project will be updated irregularly. That means a new song will be added every once in a while, whenever I come up with something. When we reach a set number, an album of the songs made so far will be published on bandcamp. So it’s never quite finished, but it also doesn’t really interrupt the regular uploads as it’s pretty much like one. Except for the cover art maybe…
Another thing might be worth noting for those who find that song strangely familiar: You might have heard a similar version of this song in the OST section. Due to more or less unforeseen circumstances these songs are not needed anymore. But since it would be a shame to throw them away, the best ones will be turned into full songs for Clad in Shadow. Of course new songs will also be added in a similar style over time. I already have quite a few ideas, but you can suggest something if you want to. Just leave a comment in the YouTube video and I’ll read it. Probably.

As you know, there’s quite a bit of stuff on my bandcamp page now. As you might also know, there’s only 200 free downloads per month. And, as you might have noticed: they’re usually gone in a few days. So we’re gonna change that up a bit.
Starting today, there will be about 2 bandcamp objects available for free, so the free downloads won’t go away that fast. We’re starting with the oldest stuff, I think most of you don’t even have that yet: Wrath of the Underlings Vol.1&2. Those are the biggest album projects on my bandcamp page, with 15+ tracks each. They are based mainly on regular battle themes and (non-final) boss battle themes, for example: VS Sylux (‘Shock Coil’), Final Fantasy IV Battle 2 (‘Boss Rush’), Lord Woo Fak Fak (‘Lord Woo Fak Bounce’), Rigid Paradise (‘Egyptian Zombie’), Popple Battle (‘Return of the Brilliant Thief’) and the G/S/C Gym Leader tune (‘Taking the Lead’).
Back again with yet another mix. Getting really versatile with the franchises here, no?
This time around we have something pretty basic. Monado Legend is a remix of the “VS unique monster” theme from Xenoblade Chronicles better known as You Will Know Our Names. Nothing more, nothing less. Now give it some oomph!
I’ve been trying a bit of stuff here to be able to improve the overall quality of my mixes, but I don’t think I really nailed it just yet…one could say: I’m not really feeling it… Although I think I will be able to improve this song a bit more for this year’s Best of album.
